SAGEEP 2022 Abstracts

Call for Abstracts

The general Call for Abstracts has ended.  Submitting authors should have received their notices of acceptance/rejection.  If not, please contact [email protected].  Shortly, the Technical Program schedule will be available and abstract authors will be receiving the session title, day, time and room name for their Oral Presentations or times and day for Poster Presentations.

The full SAGEEP 2022 conference schedule will also be available soon.  The in-person conference will feature a rich technical program, vibrant social events, professional networking opportunities, and a commercial exhibition showcasing the latest in geophysical products and services. The event brings together researchers, industry professional, and students to share and discuss recent advancement, challenges, and applications of geophysics for engineering and environmental problems.

Authors who need to re-submit or for those who wish to add a submission, please use this link:  SAGEEP 2022 New or revised Abstract Submission

This year, the technical program will also incorporate special sessions planned in synergy with other organizations. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will collaborate on sessions exploring the challenges of dams and levees and the use of geophysics for construction planning and life-cycle monitoring. A focus on geophysical characterization for municipal groundwater supply will be pursued with the Colorado Groundwater Association (CGWA) and local affiliates. These and other special focus topics will add to broad scope of presentations spanning geohazards, hydrogeology, infrastructure, sensor development, and much more.

Oral Presentation Requirements

Oral presentations should be PowerPoint files (or a PDF of slides), delivered in 15 minutes with 5 minutes for questions for a total of no more than 20 minutes. You do not need to follow a template for the PowerPoint presentation.  You will be asked to load your PowerPoint files on a USB drive, which you will transfer to the computer in your session room prior to the beginning of the session.

Poster Presentation Requirements

The maximum poster dimension that can be accommodated is 4 feet high (48 inches, 120 cm) by 8 feet wide (96 inches, 242 cm), but smaller posters are acceptable as long as they are legible from a distance. All contextual formatting of the scientific content within the poster is flexible, with the exception that we would like you to put your Abstract Number in the upper left portion of your poster. Each board will have a 6-foot table set under it to accommodate space for the “Availability” sheets and any other documentation you would like to make available to conference attendees.

If you are from a country that requires a visa to enter the U.S., please ensure that you start the process of obtaining any required travel documents sufficiently early so that you will be able to attend the meeting.
